Pipework Fabrication – Dunfermline Facility

Langfields are devoted to welding perfection, with a passion to provide industry leading, pipework fabrication solutions from our Dunfermline Facility.

Our Dunfermline facility boasts 2,729m² of covered fabrication shop space including almost 1,000m² for Stainless Steel Fabrication.

Capabilities

Langfields can provide a full design service for Process Pipework, capable of producing bespoke pipework designs from concept and site survey, or from customers drawings, fully compliant with applicable Codes & Standards and assessed against PED requirements where required.

Welding Technology

An array of welding processes is available which
are tailored to suit the scope of work.

These include:

  • Tungsten Inert Gas (Tig) Available both in Manual and fully automatic Orbital modes.
  • Gas Shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (GSFCAW) Available in both semi-automatic and mechanised modes.
  • Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA) Available to suit a wide range of material types, strengths and toughness requirements.
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) Combined with either a Tig or semi-automatic Root pass this is particularly suited to larger diameter and heavier
    wall thickness applications.

Piping Materials

Langfields hold a substantial library of welding procedure qualifications and a skilled workforce including appropriately qualified welders for welding pipe and associated spool components. These include forged flanges, bends, elbows and associated branch fittings manufactured from material types and grades ranging from high temperature, creep resistant steels to steels for cryogenic applications, Austenitic and Duplex/Super Duplex Stainless Steels through to Nickel Alloys including Hastelloy  C22/C276, Incoloy 800/825 and Inconel 625.

Design, Qualification, Fabrication and Testing have been conducted in accordance with industry codes and standards including;
