Langfields provides pipe fabrication and installation services to the power, petrochemical, nuclear, oil and gas, defence and pharmaceutical sectors.
We have the capability to manufacture and install large and complex, low and high-pressure fabricated piping systems using both standard and exotic materials. Utilising off-site fabrication enhances health and safety performance, productivity, programme certainty and commercial delivery. To ensure the highest standards of quality and repeatability we can install using a variety of techniques – including orbital and automated welding all accredited international recognisable standards
Langfields have unrivalled experience and expertise with the use of orbital welding on reformer pigtails. Having carried out numerous shutdowns across the globe we have been able to refine and improve the process and procedure so that a best possible weld profile is achieved.
Due to the quality of the weld profile we are able to achieve and the refinement of the process significant time and cost savings are made with longer times between shutdowns and improved speed and efficiency of shutdowns.
Langfields were contacted in January 2020 to undertake emergency repairs to the FCCU ducting at a UK refinery. Project delivered within 6 weeks.
Langfields site services arranged for the cutting, lifting and complex repairs of this critical equipment for a UK Chemical plant.
Fabrication and installation of Alloy C276, Duplex 31803 & 6% Mo Stainless Steel 6-24”nb pipework. Fabricated in Salford and installed in the Middle East and Far East.
Langfields have extensive experience in the weld overlay of pipes, valves and flanges both on site and in our workshops. We have worked with various techniques, manual and automated and a range of materials – including stainless steels and high nickel alloys.
Langfields regularly perform emergency heat exchanger repairs including retubing, tube to tubesheet welding and plugging as required to get the plant back up and running.
Langfields have completed a number of emergency high integrity vessel repairs across a number of pharmaceutical clients in the UK. We have replaced dished heads, nozzles, limpet coils and jackets in operational clean room conditions.
Langfields regularly undertake site repairs and essential maintenance of storage tanks at a number of the UK’s process plants. Pipework modifications and weld repairs to existing welds and site installation of additional inlet and outlets as required.
