Langfields have recently manufactured a Hastelloy C2000 column section for a UK chemical plant.
The column was 1500 diameter x 18mm thick and it was welded using a plasma system.
Having the longitudinal and circumferential seams welded using plasma arc welding allowed for major time and cost reduction of the overall process.
