Congratulations to our own Senior Welding Engineer Dr Bence Bogdan who has recently been accepted onto the BSI Committee – PVE/1/16 “Pressure Vessels – Fabrication and Joining Techniques”.
Bence joins the committee which is responsible for providing advice to product committees on the available and appropriate fabrication and joining techniques to be used for the manufacture of pressure equipment to national and international standards. Particularly to make proposals for the development of the manufacture and workmanship section of PD5500.
Acceptance onto the BSI committee provides multiple benefits for Bence as it will help him to continue his professional development, gaining new skills and insights into the latest technical innovations/standards development for both PD5500 & EN13445, codes used every day across our facilities.
