State of the art pressure systems.
Primarily supplying the nuclear, chemical and downstream refining sectors in the UK.
We understand our customer needs to be flexible and must meet constrained schedules whilst achieving the highest levels of quality. Our focus for the future is to provide the UK with technical solutions to achieve a sustainable future for our client’s complex challenges.
Pressure System Products refer to components and equipment designed to manage, control, and maintain pressurised fluids or gases in industrial, commercial, and residential applications. These products are critical for safety, efficiency, and compliance with directives like the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) & Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations (PE(S)R), together with regulations such as PD5500, EN13445 and the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC).

Design & Engineering
Whether you’re designing a high pressure reactor vessel, a complete new piping system, or a small access and maintenance platform, complying with design codes and standards is critical. Yet with hundreds of codes used worldwide, determining which apply and which are most suitable can be complex.
At Langfields, our engineers are experts in major global design codes and have extensive experience with design and manufacture to ASME VIII Div.1, PD5500, EN 13445, TEMA, EN 14015, Eurocode 3, ASME B31.3, PE(S)R/PED, NR-13, DOSH, NORSOK and many more. We hold U&UM stamps and regularly obtain design approvals from inspection agencies and EU Notified Bodies/UK Approved Bodies, including BES, TUV, IES, LRQA, DNV, BV, ABS and many others. We also have representation on a number of key standards committees with an active interest in the upkeep and development of UK design codes and engineering.
With in-depth knowledge of these codes, alongside the most onerous and demanding client specifications, we optimise designs to be code-compliant and help our clients avoid costly errors and revisions. Our thorough approach to design calculations (supplemented with FEA where required), 2D drafting & 3D modelling skills, and other analyses provide assurance of integrity. Clients worldwide trust us for superior, code-conforming engineering.
Contact us today to learn how our skilled engineers and expertise in global design codes and standards can benefit your next project, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory approval. Let’s discuss your specific requirements and how we can deliver designs that meet them.

Welding
Ensuring Quality Welding with the Latest Techniques
As manufacturing continues to advance, it’s crucial to keep up with innovations in welding in order to produce the highest quality results.
At Langfields, we make sure our welders are fully trained on cutting-edge techniques. We have expertise in reactive metals, high nickel alloys, and stainless steels – all essential for corrosion and heat resistance.
Our welders utilise processes like MIG, TIG, MMA, plasma, and orbital welding. Orbital in particular allows for precision, consistency, and access to complex joints. We’ve used it for pharmaceutical piping, heat exchangers, valves, on-site repairs, hygienic systems, reactor tubes, instrumentation, and more.
But we don’t just stop at technical welding expertise. We also invest heavily in weld development. Through rigorous testing and documentation, we qualify our welding procedures to meet even the most stringent industry codes and standards.
This ensures the end product always meets quality and safety expectations – no matter the challenge. Our specialised experience and constant improvement gives customers confidence in the integrity of every weld.
So when your project requires flawless, specialised welds, make sure your team has the latest knowledge and skills. Reach out to learn more about our capabilities and how we can deliver robust, reliable welds for your needs!

Inspection & Testing
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a vital part of ensuring safety and quality in many industries like nuclear, renewables, defence, and pharmaceutical. NDT allows materials and components to be examined for flaws without causing damage. Common NDT methods include liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, radiographic, ultrasonic, eddy current, and leak testing.
Langfields utilises multiple NDT methods in our manufacturing processes. Proper testing and inspection gives us confidence that our products will perform safely even in extreme conditions.
Our team of Level 3 inspectors are experts at applying the latest NDT technology. We continually invest in training and equipment to catch the smallest defects. Quality assurance through NDT allows us to stand behind our products with pride. -
